A shoe that's barely 5 years older than UP THERE is being retro'd—boy we're feeling old... Nike looks back on a time that some of us still remember to bring back the '05 edition of their iconic Pegasus runner. The Pegasus franchise has been running for over forty years at this point, and it's showing no signs of slowing down.
For 2005, Nike reintroduced some of the design language established on the 2002/3 iterations after a bit of a bulbous departure in 2004. Thankfully the 2K5 release brought back the aggression with iconic side strikes and strong accent panels across the toe—supported by that miniswoosh on the toebox. Much like when the Pegasus first arrived in 1983, a tried-and-true Nike Air cushioning system (full-length in 2005) provides all the cushioning you'll ever need.
This version immediately brought the 2018 Comme Des Garçons Air Max 180 release to mind. It's not a shot-for-shot, but it was the first thing to pop into our head so it's likely you see it too.
